Newman was cleared from the concussion protocol Thursday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Newman was removed from Sunday's game against the Rams due to a suspected concussion, but after a quick turnaround (and a missed practice Wednesday), a full showing in drills Thursday informed his clean passage through the protocol for head injuries. He'll now get set to suit up opposite Xavier Rhodes in Week 10 at Oakland.
