Werenski will handle point duties on the Blue Jackets' top power play unit to begin the season, The Columbus Dispatch reports. "I look at Zach and I think he's ready to handle anything we throw at him," head coach John Tortorella said. "He has that demeanor. I don't think he's afraid to make a mistake. If he makes a mistake on one play, he come back and tries to make that same play five minutes later. That's what I love about him. He's one talented player - not only with his legs, but his hands and his mind, too."

He'll also be skating on the top defensive pair with Seth Jones at even strength, a huge amount of responsibility for a 19-year-old who has yet to play in a regular season NHL game. Rookie defensemen typically aren't big fantasy assets, but Werenski picked up a goal and two assists in four preseason games and if he can handle his assignments, the eighth overall pick in 2015 could produce some very interesting numbers.
