Perron was left exposed for selection by the Golden Knights in the expansion draft.

Perron has not spent consecutive seasons with a team since his first stint with St. Louis from 2007-12 and could find himself on the move once again. Perhaps the one name on the Blues' protected list that would come as a surprise is Ryan Reaves, who tallied just 13 points in 80 contests this past season. It would be easy to look strictly at a production level to compare Reaves and Perron -- who tallied 18 goals and 28 assists -- but the 30-year-old Reaves offers a grittier style and St. Louis is already stocked with goal-scorers. GM Doug Armstrong is up against the cap ($6.4 million in space) so he could be hoping to shed Perron's $3.75 million contract.
