Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Out at least 12 weeks after ankle surgery

Schwartz will miss at least 12 weeks after receiving surgery on a fractured left ankle, Andrew Allsman of KMOV reports.

This is rough for the 23-year-old Schwartz, who will lose about three months of time on the ice for a freak accident in practice when he reportedly collided with a goal post. The Blues have already called up Ty Rattie from the AHL Chicago Wolves to replace him, but this is yet another blow to an already injury-laden team.
