Carlo (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Carlo was injured Monday in Colorado and missed Tuesday's tilt in Arizona. The defenseman has two goals, eight assists, 51 hits and 71 blocked shots in 39 games this season. Mason Lohrei replaced Carlo in the Bruins lineup Tuesday and has been partnered with Charlie McAvoy on the first pairing.
