Bryon returned to the active lineup Friday night after missing eight games with a lower-body injury. He had a couple of hits in 11:40 of ice time in a 6-4 loss to Buffalo.
Byron was strictly a fourth-liner and spent some time killing penalties in his return to action. He's been moved around the lines this season, but mostly has been in a bottom-six role. And with Montreal's top-two lines starting to generate some offense, Byron will likely remain where he is for now.
