Subban was reassigned to AHL Utica on Tuesday,
The 21-year-old defenseman will head back to the minor leagues without making his NHL debut. Subban was brought up as relief because of a mumps outbreak in the Canucks' locker room, but enough defensemen are healthy that there's no room for him in the rotation at this point.
