Ness was recalled from AHL Tucson to the taxi squad Saturday.
Ness has yet to play a game this year at the NHL or AHL levels. Last season, the 30-year-old blueliner averaged 12:32 of ice time per game over 24 contests, recording an assist, 17 hits and 20 blocked shots.
