Coyotes' Philip Samuelsson: Recalled by Coyotes

Samuelson was recalled from AHL Springfield on Friday on emergency conditions, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

It's unclear which defenseman is dealing with an injury, but the recall provides some extra depth along the blue line if necessary. Samuelsson has been a force offensively in the AHL, tallying 30 points in 53 games, but his modest ice time (averaged 15:51 in three games with the Coyotes) likely limits his upside with the parent club even if he draws into the lineup.
