Mueller required a stretcher to leave the ice during Wednesday's game against the Flames, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
The one positive sign for Mueller is that he was able to give a thumbs up while being taken off the ice, but it's still a scary situation after he went head first into the boards. The team should release more information on the blueliner after he undergoes further testing.
