MacDonald (head) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Red Wings.
MacDonald exited Sunday's game in the third period after reportedly hitting his head on the boards. The team is listing him as day-to-day, so it seems there's a decent chance he will return for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs, but expect the team to update his status again before then. Yevgeny Medvedev will replace MacDonald in the lineup Wednesday, and Medvedev could be a decent option in daily lineups having notched 11 points over 44 games with the Flyers this season.
