Ladd missed practice Monday due to a back injury, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
The injury is not considered to be serious and Ladd is fully expected to play when the schedule resumes for the Islanders on Thursday in Dallas. After a terribly slow start to the season Ladd has picked it up of late with four goals in his last seven games.
