Hellebuyck stopped 31 of 36 shots in Thursday's loss to the Kings.

Special teams was a disaster for the Jets and Hellebuyck, who stopped just nine of 12 shots on the power play and allowed a shorthanded goal midway through the third period. He's now allowed nine goals in his past two starts, which raised his GAA to 2.95. Due to Ondrej Pavelec's struggles, Hellebucyk has appeared in 53 games this season in an up-and-down campaign, although he's notched 23 wins. He's still considered the Jets' goalie of the future, but it'll take some time for him to really settle in and develop the consistency to help take the Jets to a new level. He's a viable start to garner wins against teams that have weak goaltending due to the Jets' high-powered offense, but don't always expect good peripheral numbers.
