Lightning's Adam Erne: Shipped back to Syracuse

Erne was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Monday, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.

Erne drew into the last four contest for the Lightning and even saw significant time on the power play. However, he failed to take advantage of the opportunity and his first NHL stint went by without the youngster tallying a point. His demotion back to the AHL would suggest that multiple regular forwards could be ready for Thursday's contest against the Sabres.
