The Flyers traded Rubtsov with Claude Giroux, Connor Bunnaman and a draft pick to the Panthers in exchange for Owen Tippett and two draft picks Saturday, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports.
Rubtsov was waived in October and has spent the whole season with AHL Lehigh Valley. He last appeared in an NHL game during the 2019-20 campaign. The 23-year-old should report to AHL Charlotte and fill a depth role with Florida.
