Panthers' Willie Mitchell: Will not play Tuesday

Mitchell (undisclosed) did not practice Monday and will not play Tuesday at Washington, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Mitchell has not played in a game for the Panthers since Jan. 18. The 38-year-old veteran defenseman's next chance to return will come Thursday evening when Florida hosts Detroit. Mitchell has tallied one goal and six assists in 46 games played this season.
