Etem will be sent down to AHL Hartford for a conditioning stint Friday.
Head coach Alain Vigneault indicated that Etem wouldn't have cracked the Rangers' lineup at any point this weekend, so he will be sent down to play three games in Hartford. The former first-round pick has been an enormous disappointment in New York, scoring just three points (all assists) in 19 contests.
