Stalberg (head) won't play Friday against the Maple Leafs, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Stalberg was able to practice Thursday, and has been cleared medically, but head coach Alain Vigneault reportedly wants the 29-year-old forward to take part in at least one more practice before returning to game action. Stalberg could potentially suit up for Tuesday's tilt against the Capitals. Until he's able to return, Emerson Etem will continue to skate alongside Dominic Moore and Jarret Stoll on New York's fourth line.
