Johnson will not be available Saturday against the Islanders, as he's dealing with a minor (undisclosed) injury, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reports.

It's a shame that Johnson's 2015-16 campaign comes to a close due to injury, but fortunately the ailment isn't severe, and the 29-year-old should have peace of mind knowing he finished the season in strong fashion. In his final three appearances, Johnson went 3-0-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .938 save percentage. A severe ankle injury to fellow goalie Robin Lehner contributed to Johnson racking up a career-high 40 starts. Despite Buffalo failing to gain much ground in that tough Atlantic Division, Johnson still managed to post a 22-16-4 record. It's been tough for the netminder to establish job security as he just finished off his first campaign with the Sabres, the fifth team he's played for since the Penguins drafted him with a fifth-round pick in 2006.
