Ullmark was called up Friday morning, reports Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.

The former Swedish Hockey League Goalie of the Year was very good in three games for Rochester, posting a .932 save percentage despite two losses. The 22-year-old is seen as the future starting goalie for the Sabres and should make his NHL debut Saturday night against New Jersey. Chad Johnson has filled in admirably for injured starter Robin Lehner (high ankle sprain) but if Ullmark performs well, the Sabres may opt to go with the hot hand. He's well worth keeping an eye on in the short-term. Nathan Lieuwen was assigned to the minors to make room for Ullmark.
