Ottawa placed Aberg on waivers Sunday, CBS Sports reports.
Aberg spent last season in the KHL before joining the Senators this offseason, tallying 23 points in 49 games. He last appeared in the NHL during the 2019-20 season, registering one assist in five appearances with the Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old winger could split time between the AHL and NHL levels this season.
