Stars' Antti Niemi: Stops 24, gets back in win column

Niemi made his first start in a week Tuesday evening in Buffalo, turning aside 24 of 25 shots in a 3-1 victory.

Thanks to the fact that Niemi has fallen well behind Kari Lehtonen in the Stars' goaltending mix, this was only his third start and first win of November. In fact, it was the first time since Oct. 22 that Niemi held the opposition under three goals. Nonetheless, Lehtonen will more than likely be back between the pipes Thursday in Washington.
