Morin was waived by the Stars for the purpose of reassignment to the AHL on Wednesday, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.
Morin has been a stud for AHL Texas since joining the organization in 2009, but has only been able to suit up for 13 NHL games. The center has yet to score his first career goal and appears headed for another year in the minors. In the event that he does get called up, fantasy owners probably shouldn't expect him to start racking up offensive numbers.
