Paradise Woods and Miss Sky Warrior were expected to duel it out for the Kentucky Oaks crown Friday.

They did, until they hit the back stretch.

Paradise Woods (6/5) and Miss Sky Warrior (6/1) set the pace early at Churchill Downs, maintaining a sizable lead on the field. But as the field hit the backstretch, both faded quickly, leaving the lead wide open for any horse to grab.

Abel Tasman was that horse, coming from well off the pace to earn the shocking win at the final race of the day. Trained by Bob Baffert, who doesn't have a horse in this year's Kentucky Derby, Able Tasman had finished second in her previous two races at Santa Anita and Santa Ysbel earlier in the year. It's the horse's fourth career win in seven starts.

Baffert also couldn't help himself.

Abel Tasman finished first followed by Daddys Lil Darling in second and Lockdown in third. If you managed to hit the superfecta on this race, I hope you aren't reading this story because your $1 bet paid out $85,555.
