LAS VEGAS -- It's now the most dominant 2-1 series in boxing history.

Manny Pacquiao scored perhaps his most decisive win in a trilogy with Tim Bradley, dropping him twice and prompting suggestions that he need not retire after a unanimous decision win Saturday night at the MGM Grand.

He won the verdict by 116-110 scores on all three judges' cards.

It was his second straight win over Bradley after a bogus decision loss in 2012. He followed that disappointment with a clear but less violent win over Bradley in 2014, then scored his first two knockdowns of the series in winning eight of 12 rounds this time around.

Asked by HBO's Max Kellerman if he planned to follow through with previously stated intentions to retire, Pacquiao at least stated the intention. Even if he didn't sound like he meant it.

“I have a commitment in my family that I'm going to retire after this, but we don't know,” he said. “Maybe I'll enjoy being a retired man and serving the people and helping the people.”

Pacquiao was asked directly on the online broadcast whether or not he was retiring after this fight and he responded with one word.

"Yes."

The Filipino congressman smiled when a follow-up question arrived about his trainer, Freddie Roach, having stated he wanted to see Pacquiao fight Canelo Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. before hanging it up for good.

That prospect drew a thunderous cheer from the more than 16,000 in attendance.

“I love the fans,” Pacquiao said. “Every time I hear that.”

Roach reinforced the statement at the post-fight press conference, suggesting that he’d like a fight with 140-pound champion Terence Crawford, and saying there’s no reason why his top client ought to quit.

“This may be the beginning of bringing back the old Manny Pacquiao,” Roach said. “I would like to see him fight again, yes.”

For Bradley, it was a bitter disappointment after so much was made of his new partnership with trainer Teddy Atlas. Instead, their between-rounds sessions in this fight were replays of Atlas imploring his man to force the action, only to be perpetually frustrated when he wasn't able to.

“He's just very quick, very explosive,” Bradley said. “It's hard to judge him. He has quick reflexes. He used his experience against me and he won the fight tonight.”

Bradley, too, said quitting was not a necessity for his three-time foe.

“Manny Pacquiao shouldn’t retire,” he said.
