Former Olympian Oscar Pistorius is due to be indicted in a South African court Monday, and reports Friday indicate that Pistorius will face two additional charges separate from the February murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

A South African news station is reporting that the National Prosecuting Authority has informed Pistorius' lawyers of two additional charges of firing a gun in public.

The latter charges refer to two specific incidents. In one, prosecutors allege Pistorius fired a gun out of the sunroof of a friend's car. The other accuses the sprinter of shooting a gun in a restaurant.

Pistorius, 26, claims he shot Steenkamp in his home by accident, mistaking her for an intruder.
