Australia is home to some of deadliest animals on Earth, and it looks like this kangaroo wanted to join the club.

Surely by now you've seen the video of a man punching a kangaroo in the face after the animal threatened his dog. If you haven't, congratulations because your day just got a whole lot better.

While on a wild boar hunt with some friends, Greig Tonkins saw one of their dogs taken into the clutches of a menacing wild kangaroo. Without hesitation, Tonkins runs toward the kangaroo, startles it enough to force it to release its grasp on the dog's neck, and then ... well ... LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMMMBBBBBLLLLLEEEE!

So many things to talk about. Where do we even start?

First off, what is that kangaroo's plan with that dog? Like, was he just trying to show the dog who's boss? Or have we all misinterpreted the situation and the kangaroo was just giving the dog a friendly hug?

Second, after the kangaroo lets the dog go, what kind of man just squares up to a kangaroo and says, "let's dance?" Well, it turns out that Tonkins is actually a zookeeper, so we'd have to assume he had some knowledge about how to deal with the situation.

Third, look at that kangaroo's reaction after he gets punched. Instant classic.

Hilarity aside, there's a touching aspect to this story as well. It turns out that Tonkins and his friends were on the hunting trip because a young man, Kailem, was battling cancer and wanted to catch a boar. That's why the group was filming the hunt in the first place -- they put together a DVD for the young man after the trip.

The trip happened in June and, unfortunately, Kailem passed away last week according to trip organizer Mathew Amor.

"Kailem would be looking down from up there [heaven] and laughing because it was the highlight of the trip," Amor told News.com.au.

We're certainly all laughing with you, Kailem.
