Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Tigers with a left hamstring injury (Foul Territory). Beltre led off the second inning with a double and pulled up lame as he got to second base. He was replaced by Alberto Gonzalez.

Beltre told reporters his hamstring doesn't feel as bad as it did last season, when he hit the disabled list, and hopes to only miss four games (Gerry Fraley via Twitter).

The Rangers didn't miss Beltre Saturday afternoon, as they whipped the Tigers, but the second half of the double-header is Saturday night. And losing Beltre for a few games would obviously hurt.

Beltre, 33, hit .296/.331/.561 with 32 homers and 105 RBI last season, winning the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger. He upped his 2012 average to .304 by going 2-for-2 Saturday before his injury.
