Trading Alex Rios for Mike Trout would be like a dream come true for Royals fans, wouldn't it? Well, they might get that dream for the start of the All-Star Game, because here are the latest voting tallies:

Yes, Omar Infante -- who is hitting .204/.213/.283 and could lose his job before the All-Star break -- has run down and passed Jose Altuve.

The Miguel Cabrera vs. Eric Hosmer race at first is close, just as the second base race is and Nelson Cruz is within striking range of Kendrys Morales. I think we can safely call catcher, shortstop and the outfield, barring any miracles, though. Third base looks pretty firmly in favor of Mike Moustakas over Josh Donaldson (who is probably the AL MVP to this point, by the way).

Unless the commissioner gets involved, we're looking at a real Royal All-Star Game. There is precedent for that, by the way. As we've noted before, in 1957, seven Reds and Stan Musial were voted in and MLB intervened. It also stripped fans of the right to vote until 1970 because of it.

Voting is still ongoing at MLB.com and will continue to be through July 2.
