Andrew McCutchen leaves game with wrist soreness, doesn't expect to miss time
Pirates star center fielder Andrew McCutchen was forced from Sunday's game against the Cardinals with soreness in his left wrist, but he expects to be back in the lineup on Sunday.
The Pirates' Andrew McCutchen, certain All-Star and likely MVP candidate, was forced from Saturday's game against the Cardinals because of soreness in his left wrist. McCutchen injured his wrist while diving for a Carlos Beltran hit in third inning (pictured at right).
McCutchen was initially able to remain in the game, even logging two more at-bats before being pulled in the seventh. He tells Michael Sanserino of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he doesn't expect to miss any time.
On the season, the star center fielder is hitting .346/.401/.593 with 15 homers and 14 stolen bases.
