Braves left-handed reliever Josh Outman began a rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League (Rookie) team. Outman started Friday's game and pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and recording a strikeout.
Outman has been out all season with a shoulder injury. It is not known when the Braves expect Outman to return from the disabled list.
