Red Sox pitching prospect Drake Britton will open the season at Double-A Portland, according to WEEI.com. Britton, who was ranked as a top-100 prospect (No. 97) by Baseball America in 2011, split the 2012 season between high Class A Salem and Portland (7-12, 4.44 ERA).
