In the most emotional baseball game we've seen in years, the Marlins surely did their fallen comrade, Jose Fernandez, proud in a 7-3 win over the Mets on Monday. It all started with Dee Gordon hitting his first home run of the year, through his tears:

Afterward, Gordon called it the best moment of his life. Here's the interview with Fox Sports Florida:

"I don't have kids, so that's the best moment of my life to hit a home run for him."

Beautiful. Again, that the first home run of the season for Gordon. It's like this was scripted. Reality is often better than fiction and on this night, that sentiment rang true.
