In the sixth inning of Wednesday's Marlins-Nationals game -- an eventual 4-3 win for the Nats -- the Marlins executed the rarely glimpsed "any port in a storm" style of base-running.

Now watch as Logan Morrison and Donovan Solano slide in the direction of the closest thing they can find, which in both instances happens to be third base ...

2fish1base!

Had Ian Desmond been able to swipe-tag both onrushing Marlins in time, then it would've been one of the weirdest double plays ever -- or at least until the Astros do something similar this weekend. Things as they were, though, Morrison was out and Solano was safe. And you and I were entertained by the carnage.
