Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has had a busy year. He made his third All-Star Game last July. He caught the final out in the World Series and won his first Gold Glove Award last November,

On Thursday, however, Rizzo handed out a different piece of hardware. That's because, per his Twitter account, he got engaged:

It's worth noting that third baseman Kris Bryant beat Rizzo to the altar, getting married back in January. Nonetheless, Rizzo will apparently make his way there soon enough.

In the interim, perhaps Rizzo's thriving relationship will get him going. He entered Friday with a 116 OPS+, which would be the lowest he's posted since 2013. The Cubs are also coming off a sweep in San Diego at the hands of the Padres.
