After seven starts, Phillies pitcher David Buchanan received his first win of the season during Monday's 5-3 win over the Rays.

Buchanan allowed three runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings. He also struck out four and walked three. He is now 1-5 with a 7.00 ERA.

It was his second quality start in his seven starts this season. The four strikeouts tied his season high.

After the game, Buchanan was optioned to Triple-A, the team announed.
