Phillies starter David Buchanan continued his struggles in 2015, as the got shelled by the Dodgers on Thursday. The right-hander allowed seven runs on 10 hits over just four innings of work.

Buchanan (2-6, 7.23 ERA) was against the ropes from the very beginning, as the Dodgers scored three runs in the top of the first. The Phillies rallied back with five runs in the bottom half.

But Buchanan allowed a three-run home run to Adrian Gonzalez in the second, and a solo shot to opposing pitcher Zack Greinke in the third. The Phillies tried to rally back, but they came up short in the 10-8 loss.

This was the second time this season that Buchanan has allowed seven runs in an outing, and he has allowed fewer than three runs in two of his nine outings this season.
