MLB's work toward a protective cap for pitchers continues, as it should, but perhaps there's still work to be done when it comes to optics. In the image that follows, Blue Jays hurler Todd Redmond models what is presumably a "beta" version of said protective cap ... 

I suppose you're necessarily going to sacrifice a bit of fashion in the name of safety, but that's a look that will take some getting accustomed to.
