Rangers C Carlos Corporan resigned to offseason thumb surgery

Rangers backup catcher Carlos Corporan has stated that he will require offseason surgery on his left thumb, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Corporan is doing all baseball activities, but remains unsure about when he will return to action. He has been sidelined for five weeks.
