Ryan Sweeney has been activated by the Red Sox and will play in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Scott Lauber of the Boston Herald reports.

Sweeney, who had been sidelined since June 16 with a toe injury, had a .292/.330/.404 line playing both center and right field prior to going on the disabled list.

A corresponding roster move hasn't been announced yet, but it could be Ryan Kalish who is sent down to make room. It appeared clubhouse attendants were packing Kalish's belongings, according to Sean McAdam of CSN New England.
