The Mets are expected to place right-handed reliever Buddy Carlyle on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday due to lower back stiffness. He will be replaced by left-hander Jack Leathersich , who is on his way to New York, according to MLB.com.
Leathersich has made 12 appearances in Triple-A so far this season. He has a 1.59 ERA and a 20:3 K:BB ratio in 11 1/3 innings pitched.
