The Rockies have signed pitcher Miguel Batista to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reported Sunday.

Batista, 41, spent the majority of 2012 with the Mets. The right-hander recorded a 4.82 ERA with a 1.1 K/BB over 46.2 innings. He also threw six innings for the Braves in September.

If Batista reaches the major leagues in 2013, it will be his 19th career season. The veteran owns a 4.48 career ERA.
