On Wednesday afternoon, the Tigers bested the visiting Royals by a score of 2-1 in 10 innings. The first Detroit run came on a solo shot by new second baseman and leadoff hitter Ian Kinsler. The second came on a walk-off RBI single by new second baseman and leadoff hitter Ian Kinsler.

Witness!

For those counting that's two wins for the 2014 Tigers and two walk-off wins for the 2014 Tigers. The first one came courtesy of the team's other new middle infielder, Alex Gonzalez.

On Wednesday, Joe Nathan blew his first save opportunity as Detroit closer, and in doing so deprived the gem-twirling Max Scherzer of a win (related: pitcher wins and losses are silly!), but Kinsler's 3-for-5 day helped craft a happy ending.
