Yankees OF Slade Heathcott plays in rehab games

Outfielder Slade Heathcott, who played in six games with the Yankees before going on the 60-day disabled list with a quad strain in late May, returned to action over the weekend, playing in a pair of rehab contests for Class A Charleston, per NJ.com. 

Heathcott went 0-for-6 in the games but seemingly showed no ill effects from the injury. His path to the majors, however, might be blocked by the solid play of Jacoby Ellsbury, whom Heathcott was called up to replace when Ellsbury was down with an injury. 

Heatcott was 6-for-18 during his time with the Yankees.
