The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Friday they've waived center Fab Melo, acquired earlier this month in a trade with the Celtics for Donte Green. If the young 7-footer is claimed off waivers, it spares the Grizzlies his $1.3 million this season.
Will a team take a risk on the inconsistent project? He's not even up to Hasheem Thabeet levels on the upside scale and even the tanking rebuilding reloading Celtics didn't want him.
