Dating to last postseason including this preseason, the Lakers are riding an 11-game losing streak, which probably delights Mavericks owner Mark Cuban quite a bit.

The Lakers have built, on paper, an incredible team. All-Stars, future Hall-of-Famers and just a bunch of talent in general. By all appearances, this is going to be one great team.

Before the Mavs tipped off their season against the Lakers on Tuesday night, Cuban talked about the rebuilt Lakers and had a very straightforward thought about them. Via ESPNDallas:

“I don’t know, I don’t care, I just hope they suck,” Cuban said with a laugh when asked to evaluate the Lakers. “You know, like any other team.”

Cuban questioned this summer whether all of L.A.’s high-profile pieces would be able to pull in the same direction. That remains a legitimate question after the Lakers’ injury-riddled, winless preseason.

“Obviously Nash is great. He’s phenomenal, Dwight’s phenomenal, Kobe ... but it takes a team,” Cuban said. “They’ve got to come together and play as a team. Hopefully, they won’t figure it out tonight.”

Cuban isn't alone in his hope for the Lakers' failure this season. There are many throughout the NBA world dreaming about the same thing. And after Cuban's team took down the Lakers with relative ease in the first game of the season, some are already trying to push the panic button.

Because remember: The Mavs didn't have Dirk Nowitzki and played Eddy Curry big minutes. And the Lakers lost, at home, by eight, to that team. Yikes.

Nobody is saying the Lakers suck, but Cuban has to be feeling pret-tay, pret-tay good today.
