Mike Conley is a pretty great point guard. He's also a pretty great guy, too. The reigning Sportsmanship Award winner, Conley also won the honor back in 2014, and is one of only three players to win the award multiple times.
Now, Conley is once again making a name for himself for his work off the court. Conley purchased 500 tickets on Tuesday to give away to fans for Game 3 of the Grizzlies' first-round series against the Spurs. Via Grizzlies.com:
Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley has purchased 500 tickets to Game 3 vs. San Antonio on Thursday, April 20 at FedExForum as a way to thank Grizz Nation for their tremendous support throughout the 2016-17 season that saw the franchise's seventh straight postseason appearance. The tickets will be given away by Conley immediately after practice, starting at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 in the Grand Lobby at FedExForum on a first-come, first-served basis (limit two tickets per person).
This is such an awesome gesture from Conley, making sure that fans get to experience a home playoff game. Hopefully those fans will get to see him put on a worthy show
