The Pacers have an opportunity to finish off the Knicks in Game 6 on Saturday night but still didn't know if they'd have the services of point guard George Hill.
But after consultation with league physicians, Hill has been cleared to play and is expected to start Game 6.
After a shootaround Saturday morning, Hill was questionable and listed as a game-time decision because of a possible concussion. At the time, Pacers coach Frank Vogel didn't tell reporters whether or not Hill had passed his concussion tests. It's mandated by the league that Hill pass the tests to be eligible to play. Vogel said the team was preparing to be without Hill.
Hill sat Game 5 in New York, an 85-75 loss, after complaining of headaches. Trainers later diagnosed Hill with a concussion. In his place, D.J. Augustin started at point guard.
Hill has played extremely well in the series, leading the Pacers in Game 4 with 26 points. In the postseason, Hill is averaging 16 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
The Pacers lead the series 3-2 and are 5-0 at home this postseason.
