Once again, Matt Barnes might be in trouble with the law.

Barnes is wanted for questioning in regard to alleged assault at a New York City club early Monday morning, according to multiple reports.

After a 106-98 loss to the Knicks on Sunday night, the Kings forward and a few of his teammates, including DeMarcus Cousins, were at Avenue nightclub in New York City. While at the club, Barnes allegedly choked a woman and according to the New York Post, the Kings veteran also punched another woman and a man who were trying to break up the original altercation.

Police sources told the Post that the woman Barnes allegedly choked is "possibly a girlfriend" and the other members of the altercation were sitting at a nearby table and were trying to help. Barnes and his teammates left the club before the police arrived.

This is not the first off-court incident involving Barnes. He has had minor run-ins with police in the past, including a 2010 domestic violence charge that was eventually dropped. Barnes, however, is infamous for his alleged assault of then-New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher in 2015. That alleged assault led to Barnes offering up a number of strange quotes as he simultaneously defended his case and talked ill of Fisher for dating his ex-wife.

The Kings issued the following about Barnes' alleged assault in New York:

Sacramento's next game is on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks, a contest that as of now, Barnes is scheduled to play in.
