Russell Westbrook's season of triple-doubles continued on Sunday afternoon during Game 4 of the Thunder's first-round series against the Rockets. To review, here is just a sample of what Westbrook has done this season in terms of triple-double history:

  • Recorded 42 triple-doubles, the most in one season in NBA history
  • Became the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for the season
  • Set an NBA record with three 50-point triple-doubles in a season
  • Set an NBA record for the highest scoring triple-double with 57 points
  • Recorded the first ever 50-point triple-double in NBA postseason history

Seems pretty good, right? Well now, he's added another mark to his ever growing list of accomplishments. And it involves Wilt Chamberlain, which is always a good sign.

During Game 4, Westbrook recorded his third triple-double in a row, becoming just the second player in NBA history, along with Chamberlain, to record three straight triple-doubles in the playoffs.

Incredibly, he only needed one half to do it, as well, putting up 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the first 24 minutes of action, giving him the fastest triple-double by any player in the last 20 seasons.

Every time we think we've seen Russ' most incredible exploit, he does something else to amaze us.
